I watched this artist work for months and months, day and night, to create this collection of faces guarding the building and protecting the tenants, many who were formerly homeless.

One night in 2013 a crew of Italian street artists transformed an underpass into walls of drawing, with faces, shapes, and symbols.

On the corner of Via Ostiense and Viale Porto Fluviale Carlos Atoche has created a fascinating series of images incorporating sea life and sculptures from antiquity.

On my way home one day I came across a group of "artists" busy at work transforming the wall of an abandoned building into a work of creative art. I was able to take some photos of the people in action.

This is the facade of a building that used to be part of a dog racing track near the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls. Painted elements of classical architecture and satirical portraits are a political commentary on government, capitalism and the church.
