Every year I enjoy sharing with family and friends a Roman Advent Calendar. Themes have included doors, windows, fountains, and stairs. Last year the theme was "Horses in Rome." On Sunday, November 29th, I will begin my 9th Roman Advent Calendar. Keep an eye out for it!
Advent Calendars have a wonderful history and many families cherish memories of anticipating the celebration of Christmas by opening little cardboard doors during the days of Advent.
You can return to this blog every day until Christmas and see something I have photographed in the amazing city of Rome.
Note: "L'occhio è l'unico che ouò assorters della belles - The eye is the only one who can see the beauty" was painted by Maupal in 2014 and can be seen in the Roman neighbourhood of Pigneto on Via Fanfulla da Lodi. It is the eye of the poet and movie director Pier Paolo Pasolini.
